Eugenics is inevitable. Either China will do it or another Authoritarian state will. The economic benefits are too great to ignore. Just imagine an army of 6 foot 5 elite soldiers with IQs of 140 who could run for 59 ks withour much effort. Or a workforce with an average IQ of 130. The nation who will perfect Eugenics will be a superpower for a thousand years. Abuse will also be inevitable. I think Gattaca is a great film that explores this future..

i suspect all countries with the capabilities do it regardless of what they say officially.

african countries are too far back to be on this. they're still trying to fight neo colonialism. their smart people probably working for other countries to perfect the technology like all smart black people work for corporations who even work against the black communities interests..
