Humanoid robots will be helpful to astronauts on our journey to Mars, so we have awarded prototypes to two universities for advanced research and development work. We're interested in humanoid robots because they can help or even take the place of astronauts working in extreme space environments. Robots, like our R5, could be used in future NASA missions either as precursor robots performing mission tasks before humans arrive or as human-assistive robots actively collaborating with the human crew. R5 initially was designed to complete disaster-relief maneuvers, however, its main goal is to prove itself worthy of even trickier terrain -- deep space exploration.

NASA wants to send its 6-foot-tall, 290-pound humanoid robot R5 (which also goes by the more intimidating name "Valkyrie") to Mars and other extraterrestrial locations. The agency originally designed the R5 for search-and-rescue missions, though, so to prepare the machine for a future of exploration in harsh environments, it's sending two units to college. One will go to MIT, specifically to the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), and the other to Northeastern University in Boston. The institutions were chosen from among the groups that joined DARPA's Robotics Challenge, and each will receive $250,000 per year for two years to finance their research.

The MIT CSAIL team's study is called "Robust Autonomy for Extreme Space Environments," while Northeastern's is entitled "Accessible Testing on Humanoid-Robot-R5 and Evaluation of NASA Administered (ATHENA) Space Robotics Challenge." Part of their work is to develop algorithms for the robot for NASA's upcoming Space Robotics Challenge, which aims to "create better software for dexterous humanoid robots used in space missions." The agency believes that in the future, it could send an army of R5s (along with other humanoid machines) to planets or moons to prepare for a human crew's arrival, to assist in various tasks when the crew arrives and to explore rough extraterrestrial terrains too dangerous for people.

However, all the money spent on this Terminator type ish and one can wonder if it's well spent.....

These robots are freaks. I already predicted back in 1994 this was gonna happen. Aliens will be ROBOTS. Organic organisms cannot survive the damage of SPACE travel and OTHER WORLDLY environments they are NOT accustomed to evolutionary wise. I do believe one day Robots could come alive , the anti-Christ will make a "image" speak but that could even be VR or something , as far as aliens they could be demons since demons are Fallen Angels , rally trippy shyt when you start putting 2 and 2 together , it's not biblical so I could be wrong

So the person who is supposed to go against CHRIST and say he's a fukkboy who isnt anything worthwhile to humanity and isnt CHRIST is gonna make his own army of bots??


And the angels that were casted out of "heaven" made their homes on Mars and other planets and became the ALIENS we talk about in current times?
