Second of all many of the border towns in Texas are damn near all mexican. Many of the Mexicans on the US side who are American citizens, got family on the other side in Mexico. Some of their family crossed illegally and are living as an illegal immigrant on the US side.

Mexican manufacturing operator I use to work with (when I use to work as an engineer in Mexico) told me he got sent back to mexico three times cause he would always cross back and forth illegally into the US to kick it or make money cause the money wasn't shyt in Mexico. The third time Ice caught him they told him next time they would lock him up in texas for some years....so he never went back. Realize this was during the trump years he was getting sent back to Mexico.

From my time in Mexico I found out that its hard for many Mexicans to get a green card often times you have to know someone or even be highly educated. If not the Mexican government can refuse your green card. I think after 3 times you can't apply for like years and years (and the shyt is expensive for them). Anyway that is why a lot of them say fukk it and just cross the border illegally. Not to mention all the companies across america that will even hire them illegal through back channels and even work to get them over to the US illegally.
