Florida. So you know we getting gangbanged by hurricanes :snoop: I spoke to a neighbor that had impact windows and he told me he paid 38k for 14 windows.
Yea Im in south florida, Thats one of main reasons when I do rehabs I try to skip touching the windows 90% of the time, shyt will blow my budget EVERYTIME and I havent locked in a plug YET.. Plus as far as appraisals go it doesnt really add much in return dollars so comparing cost to profit I usually skip but aesthetically and for protection/insurance it makes a difference..

On one hand, I know hurricanes can be devastating for people in vulnerable locations.

On the other hand, I live in the lowcountry, and for us it's basically just a bad storm, and I haven't seen a good hurricane in a minute.

I'm ready to crack out some candles, board games, and alcohol.

Say Hornet breh, I might know of a place that can make the windows you need if you don't mind providing the measurements and covering the ground shipping from the Midwest.

Only thing that sucks about hurricanes round here in NOLA nowadays is the lost of power.

When Ida hit almost two years ago, I went without power for about 3-4 days before me and my girlfriend decided to drive to Pensacola and fly out from there to Chicago.

I ended up coming back after a little over a week but even by then there was still parts of town without power for weeks after. Out of work for almost a month and still really light work afterwards

Hurricanes don’t really bother me though, it’s just the state of the area afterwards and how people act after that gets me worried. The damages and the general problems you face when it arrives aren’t really that major considering it happens often enough around here

Find you a chill Airbnb inland so you not on the coast

Bring ya entertainment system, something to drink/smoke, a girl you smashing :manny:

Better protect your windows and sandbag the perimeter of ya crib before you leave tho

Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana, PA. All the places I'm talking about own their own manufacturing facilities, they can make whatever window you want if you have the sizes, what color you want, what type of glass, how many panes, etc. They won't install them for you though, and if you mess up the measurements, that's on you, not them.
