I used to be a lead singer in a hardcore band back in 1999-2001.....yeah, it wasn't like that back then, but there were black people going to HC shows even back when I started going in the 90s. Moreso as time passed.

What band was this?!

I know there is one current band I'm aware of that's all black and pro black but it'd be dope to see some all black public enemy political type hardcore bands

This is probably the most recent or one of the few or most pro black albums/bands within the scene and shyt came out like almost 2 decades ago. And the members weren't even black, I'm pretty sure. Besides Pete Wentz, who is barely and I'm not sure is considered black by coli standards

There def was black dudes at shows in early times but more recent early 2000s atleast out here in LA it was kinda dead there was more black punks then dudes into HC now i go to shows and see more than ever its dope to see.

We came out with it at a weird time...cause that's when rap rock and all that was popular. WE had one limited cd we recorded with 6 songs...it was moreso me and friends just fukking around

I quit when our lead singer decided to go the commercial route ala Matchbox 20 and Three Doors Down and sell out. This was like two months before 9/11 too.

Now I just make and spin Techno pretty much...lol.

Ian used to be hardcore kid. I mentioned it on like the 2nd page. A lot these white hype beasts and cats came from hardcore/punk but we're so lame and did shady shyt, like stealing hundreds of dollars in merch (like IAn) no one liked em so they moved onto the next musical social culture they could vulture off of. To most these cats it's just a social club they crew hop from in different scenes until they get what they can out of it. That's how most hardcore kids are in general IMO after what I've observed over the past decade seeing so many come and go.

Adam22 is a perfect example. Dude used to be a hardcore kid. Was and is pretty popular for his BMX website still but people didn't fukk with him so he slithered his way out and is now doing No Jumper

there ain't no real money in hardcore. even the bands that have been around for 30 years aren't caking off it. but yeah, it's funny how kids will slide from that to rap now? hell, it was only a few years ago all them metalcore dweebs and scene kids left that scene to pick up dubstep. I bet they're now folk musicians.
