going to D.R. with the fam in July and i'm staying at my grandpa 's crib. first time visiting there and shyt. that and hopefully i can go to Atlanta in August before college starts. ain't even summer '16 but it's already lit.

Where is the best/cheapest place to fly into DR? I know Punta Cana is the popular spot

It depends what are you looking for... I agree with the post beneath that Punta Cana is more tourist oriented and that if you want the real DR you should go to Santo Domingo. You can get a place on airbnb or stay at a hotel. HOWEVER, I do not agree that Boca Chica is a beautiful beach... It is actually the worst beach in the country. The best beach is Bavaro/Punta Cana...
If you are looking to spend a nice vacation in the beach and go clubbing and be chill, I would say go to Punta Cana... If you want to go sighseeing and have a '' real dominican experience '' then you could go to Santo Domingo and just drive to Juan Dolio, which is a nice beach not far away from the city (Like 45 mins ). But whatever you do, DO NOT go to Boca chica... Lmao!

Punta Cana is cool but very touristy. If you want the most authentic Dominican experience go to Santo Domingo or Santiago

Boca Chica is beautiful, it's a municipality not that far from Santo Domingo. It has arguably the most beautiful beach in the entire country and isnt as expensive as Punta Cana.

Im gotta get my paper straight to travel. Matter fact I have to get a passport. Brooklyn is all I know. I head out to the city to party and chill. Queens I have ties and got alot of homies there. But the world is bigger then Brooklyn. I gotta travel cuz everyone I know who travels say they love it. Hell i never been to Haiti to visit my family.
