If they step up the combat and take some cues from the movement mods for BRC, they can make a good ass sequelI am passing through Bomb Rush Cyberfunk the past two weeks or so. I was thinking they got good bones for a sequel and now this comes in.
They gotta focus on improvement. Some cons about BRC can be cleaned up with ease. It is an amazing love letter game so far, but the paper cuts on that game make some parts underwhelming.

Yeah, with them being a small indie dev, I can give them a pass for the first game lacking in a few areas. But if they intend to keep building on the first game's foundation with a series of successors, I think they could create the definitive game inspired by Jet Set RadioFor me, they need to enhance the environments a bit. Home base is the perfect spot since there's a lot of cross travel via wires. decent density. But out in the actual spots they are relegated too much to fences near the outer areas. Millennium Square should have been better than it currently is, but it is fairly emptier than one thinks. The art piece area in the Square itself is painfully underwhelming, but it otherwise is a beautiful place. The Mall is so far one of my least favorite locations so far because you are relegated to just handrails for the most part that circle the outside. It makes travel annoying.
I think they've overall improved the ideas. Graffiti is mostly always available, enhancements to movement, different methods of bike/board/skates, easy character swapping, the bones are definitely there. They just have to make it a better experience.
