If Trump were to step down or be removed from office before 2020, what would a potential primary look like for them? As easy as it would be to just move behind Pence, he's still going to have that Trump baggage attached to him.
Would they go to the people Trump ran against (Cruz, Rubio, Christie, Walker, Jeb, etc.) that might have the infrastructure to put together a last minute national campaign or would they lean towards those (Romeny, Governor of MD, etc.) who are more moderate Repubs that can win Independents, or would they circle around Nikki Haley since she was a part of the administration but not afraid to critique Trump?
