thought I was going to be getting ready for marriage this year, did not happened as planned. Actively dating, low key prepared to get a woman pregnant and have my first child. It's so wierd. I went from being okay if I had a kid to my ex to yeah, need to find a chick to get pregnant ASAP . Of course get married. Trying to avoid crazies.

Why would that not matter tho? It's easy to talk about all the good aspects about being a parent if you don't have to experience the not so good aspects 24/7/365.

**Nobody can plot their life out 100% and anything can throw your shyt off so I'm not saying anything is wrong with anyone's situation but that is a pretty big detail to account for here.

Many men have experienced the 24-7/365 lifestyle with their kids. That tends to end when relationships end, we all know breakups and divorced tend to favor mothers as the custodial parent...

I was with my kids all the time before me and their mom broke up; ditto for my youngest daughter, when her mom and I were together...

Alot of the perspective in this thread comes from you guys who aren't parents...

just judging off my actions and the fact that i haven't had one by now although i've had plenty of offers and chances... i would say i'm neutral about it.
i think they are cute and something to do so i wouldn't mind having one, but i'm not going to force it at all

and yes i am scared of physically having a child. i be thinking i am going to die giving birth since i am old now and then what it does to your body...
that's one part men don't have to think about.

I guess the question is does he desire a FAMILY, wife and kid under one roof, or he just wants a child for the sake of having a child and doesn’t desire to actually be present full time 24/7 in creating, raising and maintaining a family.


Because there is a difference.

I would say there are fewer men than women, who want kids just for the fukk of it. But sure, I agree with your central point...

A man not having his kids full time isn't an indictment on that man's abilities as a father, which is what this board routinely suggests...

All jokes aside I'm good I'm ready to have a family, the whole wife thing, so I think that's what it is for me. I have three daughters so I ain't actively looking to have more kids, but I want a wife and family so I think that's where the baby fever is coming from me!
