The End
:duck:

If that sellout agent piece of shyt wasn't attached to it it would already be far more ahead. I don't know how y'all don't see this. If you want FBA to become entrenched and accepted it won't happen while that is the man that leads he charge. Won't happen so long as people are being pretend Indians. You will continue to be looked at like black Maga
We don’t care? yall don’t run shyt. Africa is not big brother. It’s only getting bigger and bigger.

There’s not even any serious outrage over the Traore situation because nikkas have moved on from wanting african acceptance

Proud to be FBA and I honor my ancestors :salute:

Feels good having that blood flow through my veins and knowing we built this country. We set the trends worldwide and are the face of blackness.

Also funny seeing FBA having the diaspora in shambles :lolbron:
Always the same weirdos. Most will be bushed in due time though

it's used on here as an insult and a derogatory term

you who post on here and use it are basically KKK white supremacists covered in dark skin, that's your mindset. That is your soul. YOu can screen shot this, I said what I said. If you use the word tether you are a white supremacist and klansman in dark skin.

I'm going to ask you again.

What is a "tether" according to you?

The term African-American has some issues. A Nigerian American or Ghanaian American could be called the exact same thing, but they'd have a link back to their specific country and culture and tribe that could not be shared by an African Descendant of Slavery AKA Foundational Black American. Not easily. If someone wanted to give their DNA to one of these shady white companies then MAYBE they MIGHT be able to find their tribe.

Africa is a as whole ass continent. There are tribes there that straight up do not like each other. What the hell does "African-American" really mean if you're trying to trace back your lineage through slavery to your people? How specific can you get besides West Africa or besides Nigeria?

These new terms are important because there is a difference and it's worth emphasizing the difference, especially when it comes to reparations which would proportionally reward those families that were devastated by the actions of racist white people over the centuries. Unfortunately, thanks partially to bad actors depressing black vote help to ensure we can't seriously discuss reparations for dozens of years to come thanks to this trump-appointed Supreme Court.

I butt heads against Tariq fans because he is one of those bad actors likes to push divisiveness and depress Black vote while claiming to care about Black Americans. He came up with a good term and one that I really don't think people should have any issue with. But for the guy himself in the way he pushes contradictory ideas that don't actually increase our political power in this country the way it is. I don't fukk with him at all.

Everyone makes more money off every black persons culture/resources.

that’s just white supremacy.

Africa is the richest continent in the world as far as natural resources and Asians, Arabs, and Europeans make more off it than anyone on the continent. That’s not a gotcha.

Exactly..
Proves just how little people know of the wider world..

Before Tariq grifted off of ADOS and when ADOS was the dominate term y'all were still hating.

This is also before Yvette Carnell started going off the rails.

Y'all were hating on the concept of us delineating.
Nope.

This boogeyman doesn't exist offline in the circles I'm from.

Do some Africans/Caribbs hate? Yes, of course.

But for those who are like me, literally a mix of both, why would we hate ya'll when it's literally half of ourselves?

The outsized global footprint of black American history is a point of pride for most of us.

You're claiming enemies and antagonism where it literally doesn't exist.

again it’s like nikkas on a slave ship aruging about who has the flyest whips and chains.

Again if you need to say that we are powered more by white supremacy that our culture is more dominant despite getting fukked in the ass knock yourself out.

But it’s the same as a Nigerian talking about all the great Surgeons that they have in Houston.

Even the culture argument might not be the same going forward since every third song played on hip-hop stations is a Tems song and in Colombia you hear way more dancehall and Afrobeats than Hip -Hop music.

I'm going to ask you again.

What is a "tether" according to you?

a tether is a means to attach something

it's irrelevant to the INTENTION behind calling some one a tether, it's definitely NOT a compliment, so spare me the jibber jabber

Do people have an issue with this? If so, why?

I mean Coogler identifies as FBA but he also has pan-africanist sensibilities as evidenced in this very same clip in which he speaks of how Black Panther afforded him the opportunity to travel and connect with Africa. I remember the guy even spoke about how emotional it was for him going to African and how well the locals treated him and told him welcome home and how he was part of the lost tribe. shyt, in Sinners there’s even a musical instrument reference to Africa - so it’s not like he’s shytting on other black ethnic groups or not acknowledging African ancestry.

So what’s the issue in him acknowledging/referring to himself as FBA? He holds no contempt, disdain nor professes nonsensical stuff against other black folk, like say Tariq does.

He pretty much just saying I’m black American and Sinners allowed me to explore my more recent ancestry in the south:yeshrug:

you all need to DELINEATE(sp?) who you argue with. Akata is a Nigerian term. Most of the time it's Black Americans arguing with mostly Nigerians and Jamaicans(ALL 3 of you have the biggest egos lol) and you attack every black immigrant based on these arguements.

Most of the rest of us just watch but then in your ignorance and lack of delineation in the online fights you attack everybody. This is not the time to create internal enemies. I got no issue with delineation, I have issue with insults and disrespect, it's like alot of you get off on it with no TANGIBLE solutions to issues. You just want to argue for arguing sake.
my dear friend. i was responding to the canadian living kenyan who said it would be fine for him to call an FBA an akata.

you need to direct your statement to him, not me.

Lineage can often start with 1 or 2 people.

And our differences are differences. Meaning not the same. Whether you think it’s big or small, we’re not the same.

Furthermore, the fact that our african ancestry includes many tribes means there’s even more distance between us. We weren’t even “the same” before TAST.

We’re different and that’s okay.
There are several conversations happening in this thread. I'm just surprised Ryan said he was FBA and also positively acknowledged his African bloodlines. That never happens with the usual talking points from FBAs.

I have no problem with black Americans celebrating their identity. Its like how white Americans have their own national identity from Brits and Canadians but they are all still white people from Europe.

FBAs observed and supported other cultures celebrate their roots for centuries , but now that black americans want to be proud of their roots all the non-FBAs are up in arms. Its an evil world we live in.
:wow:

I don't think we understand that others don't think/operate like we do.

It has always been a one-sided relationship, and people coming over here are doing so to make their lives better, not struggle or fight/buck against the system. Their lives are made better by extracting wealth wherever possible - once AA programs, DEI, specific Black programs, and even reparations programs (@Voice of Reason of reason posted a thread where Africans were scamming a program for reparations for ADOS/FBA).

Besides, if someone left their homelands instead of building it up, can you really say they are your allies/people? They abandoned their own people when times got tough and are over here talking about "you need us to help fight white supremacy/increase birthrates" when the people they left need them more.

They will abandon ADOS/FBA with the quickness if times got tough over here, but that blanket blackness and Africa worship got some cats still in a chokehold.

Man you should read about what them leaders said about Afros while people over here were getting black bagged for having them :sas2: They got c00n stooges for leaders over there just like we do over here and acting like shyt sweet. They have also turned their backs on us multiple times but nikkas let that slide for unity tho, I get it:sas2:

“Comrades” then are the same as now
