I don't have a great word for us
I use FBADOS just to distance myself from K Flexible
our ancestors used:
Freedmen/Free Negroes/ Negro
I use "American Freedman", personally.

Elon Musk is from South Africa and is a citizen of the US, friend.Question for the folks here. What's the difference from African American, FBA, and ADOS?
We've been using African American as group name since the 80s I think. What's wrong with that name? It's the same shyt no?

It's still fukk FBA and Tariq Nasheed
Dudes in this world don't stand for something or have faith in it until a celebrity/entertainer speaks on it
That's how adolescents act- which is an insult to them, because at least adolescents are sincere in their insecurity
To be a so called man and act like that?
Pathetic is being generous.
Is it true that Tariq owns the patent to FBA ?![]()
He obviously wasn't talking about Black Americans as a people, but the nomenclature used by that grifting piece of shyt Tariq Nasheed. If he was bushed for that, he shouldn't have been.
fukk FOUNDATIONAL BLACK AMERICANS?
I don't like how Coogler is adopting the term. The focus on our unique history and claims is valid. I get the intention, our lineage deserves recognition, but that term was created and trademarked by a grifting piece of shyt who's done more harm than good in the name of "FBA." His ego, clout-chasing, and constant beefs, has derailed any real advocacy efforts.

Yes, because both "FBA" and "ADOS" are toxic. Tariq and Yvette are not people I'd ever rally under. The *ideas* behind lineage-based advocacy are valid. The leaders and the brands? Not so much.If he said ADOS you would have said the same thing.
