I don’t have any personal disdain for continental africans. i know there’s good people everywhere
I am sure a lot of Africans think like that was well, when it comes to Black Americans.

I only had 1 or 2 negative encounters with continental Africans. The one time other continental Africans engaged and defended me. It was about the trans Atlantic slave trade and this particular Nigerian was making lite of it and blaming us as descends of enslaved people for being criminals, lazy and this all this due to our fault and own doing, he claimed. The time thereafter when I saw him he was quiet, especially because I was bigger (muscular) at that time.

more people would like the Acronyms terms if there weren’t intimately associated with online grifters, and anti black xenophobes who focus more on their hatred of Africans than their stated goal of getting reparations for descendants of formerly enslaved Americans
we don’t need people to like it though nor do we need permission.

Playing stupid doesn't change the fact what I said is true.

The jeulzing continues. I asked a specific question and you refused to answer it.

You're the one playing in my face. You have an obvious bias and hand-wave away anything done by any African.
You are weird breh, bringing up something that had nothing to do with my post. It must apply to you, look how triggered and rattled you are in this thread :dead:

You hate the fact that black americans are starting to recognize and delineate their identity lmaoo :mjlol: only a weirdo would have an issue with this.

Me: Some people use tariq/fba has a trojan horse for their hate towards black americans

You: Is that your excuse for agreeing with the hate tariq is spewing?

Notice how your response doesn’t even make any logical sense to my point, its completely unrelated. Critical thinking and logic are very important attributes a black man of any background must have.

That hate and jealousy towards black americans has your brain fried lil bro. Lets go outside and touch some grass, run a few miles and socialize today. Its Sunday. Appreciate the black american greatness being displayed in this film. :umad:

What should we identify as if you think the name FBA is divisive?
:jbhmm:
African American which is really just free branding for Africa, so that anybody who moves here from Africa can use that while also telling us we’re not African

Black American, which anybody who is “black” with American citizenship can you use.

Pretty much anything that is inclusive so that everyone can benefit off of our work.

I don't think it's "divisive" nor do I care as it changes nothing for me (my support remains the same). The part I have issues with is the denial is the MAAFA (transatlantic slavery). What I am saying is that others (Black Americas, in the real world not social media) don't even know about the acronym, and if they know they do not want to associate with it for different reasons. Mostly because of the denial of transatlantic slavery and the ABOS pseudo claim.

What that means is, for a long time in our country's history, black people were most likely direct descendants of enslaved Africans. Watkins-Hayes described the adoption of the term African American as a "very deliberate move on the part of black communities to signify our American-ness, but also signify this African heritage."

An African American is a person whose origins are in any of the Black racial groups of Africa. If appropriate, specific terms such as Kenyan or Nigerian may also be used. Black is broader and more inclusive than African American – someone within your target audience could be born in Jamaica and live in the U.S. and identify as Black but not African American. Use of the capitalized Black recognizes that language has evolved and, especially in the United States, the term reflects a shared identity and culture beyond skin color.

When discussing scientific data, use the term that was used when the research (the source of the data) was being conducted. Capitalize the word Black when referring to race. Do not hyphenate African American or other dual-heritage terms.

It was a long debate / conversation and I only listened to parts of it.
