Was out with my girl and some of her workmates tonight. We bought a new pad recently, so dont know many peeps around here.

you were fukked right here. first you got a girlfriend, second you cohabit with her.

let me explain something there is no point to having a girlfriend. you can know a woman and enjoy her company, be around her, even have sex without being in a committed relationship.

also you never move in with a person you're involved with. they have their own place and you have your own place. if you're married (which you shouldn't be getting married but if you fukk up and do that) then its acceptable but if you aren't married a roommate should always be somebody you aren't fukking and never plan to fukk.

at the end of the day with any human being you always wanna have enough distance to make a clean break from them if necessary and a live in girlfriend is about as messy a break as you can get outside of a wife. if shyt goes wrong your holiday will become hell.
