An Indian-origin man briefly took the microphone at an anti-immigration rally in Australia, only to be shoved aside moments later as his speech drew both cheers and jeers from the crowd. The man, dressed in a yellow T-shirt with “Australia" emblazoned across it, was introduced to the audience with the words, “He looks like a foreigner. He said he would like to speak."

What followed has since circulated widely in an unverified video online. Taking the stage, the man said, “Yes, I am a brown man. Yes, I’m an immigrant from India but I came here for the right reason. What I see happening today- this is not immigration. This is an open-door policy. They are not blending in our culture, they are twisting it."

Before he could continue, he was shoved and the microphone was pulled away. Struggling to finish, the man managed to add, “Immigration is about not taking but giving. Not demanding but respecting."

The rally was part of the “March for Australia" protests held on September 1 across the country, where demonstrators railed against what they called unsustainable levels of migration. Organisers claimed that more Indians had migrated to Australia since 2020 than Greeks or Italians had in their major post-war influx.

On its website, March for Australia said that “Australia’s unity and shared values have been eroded by policies and movements that divide us" and that “mass migration has torn at the bonds that held our communities together."

The Australian government distanced itself from the rallies as Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke condemned the demonstrations, saying, “There is no place in our country for people who seek to divide and undermine our social cohesion. We stand with modern Australia against these rallies – nothing could be less Australian."

The protests also followed a political row triggered by Liberal senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price, who suggested the government was focused on bringing in more “Labor-leaning" migrant communities such as Indians. Facing a backlash, she later walked back her comments, saying, “Indian migrants, who have come to Australia, have a strong record of integration, embracing our values, working hard in many fields of endeavour and joining the league of cherished and loyal Australian citizens. My own children share Indian ancestry, and I have strong friendships within the Indian and Sikh communities in the Northern Territory. I deeply value these connections."

What a jackass. If he or his family was able to immigrate from India then why does he want to pull up the ladder behind him?

│ Because he thinks he’s the good one. People like that are always desperate for acceptance and approval from others because they are empty without it.

│ │ │ │ its been interesting to see how this anti-immigrant/racist ideology has grown mainstream and how it has led to their strategy getting dumber - earlier they thrived on using "good" immigrants to prove the legitimacy of their beliefs - "come here the proper way and succeed" - to now showing the unfiltered side - "only white people welcome".

│ │ │ Yeah, in its early infancy the Nazis had Association of German National Jews - Wikipedia and Ernst Röhm - Wikipedia members who were convinced by the party's propaganda that it alone would care for and exalt veterans and punish the liberals and communists that were ostensibly responsible for everything that had gone wrong; and equally convinced that the same party's propaganda against minorities was just a political tactic to whip up support that it would never actually follow-through on.

│ │ │ │ I unfortunately can't find the documentary I watched about Ernst Röhm, but I do think it's the perfect cautionary tale for cozying up to fascists. Röhm, at least according to the documentary I saw, was quite brazen with his homosexuality as well, as in he would openly go to Berlin's and Munich's queer bars and not be discreet in the slightest. He also had sexual relationships with younger men in his own squad, and all because he thought he he was "the good one" and he had done too much for Hitler to be disposed.
│ │ │ │
│ │ │ │ Fascists.
│ │ │ │
│ │ │ │ Never.
│ │ │ │
│ │ │ │ Change.
│ │ │ │
│ │ │ │ Their only goal is dominion. They will weasel and manipulate, use the tools within democracy and use minorities to legitimize their movement ("Isn't there free speech in this country? Why am I not allowed to say that all immigrants are rapists?"), and as soon as they're there, they will dismantle the very tools that they convinced liberals were just making it equal, as we've seen with free speech being dismantled. They're just here to learn the game, learn the conduct, put on a nice suit and cry that leftists are being mean to them, and liberals pave the way because leftists seem so aggressive towards the poor nazis who just want some representative power, that's, after all, democracy.
│ │ │ │
│ │ │ │ Then they get their power. Suddenly their ethical hill to die on about free speech wanes to forbid anything they dislike. When liberals confront them about it, notice that they just stay silent, smiling. Liberals think it's a great 'gotcha' to walk up to a nazi and say j'accuse when they point out an inconsistency in their morals. But the issue is that a fascist doesn't have any morals, it's just a word they picked up from the human world that they notice people seem to value, so they mimic the exterior parts of morality, but in reality, morality for them are just a Cards Against Humanity game where they throw in whatever will gain them the most points.
│ │ │ │
│ │ │ │ A fascist smirks in the face of a neoliberal standing with his counter-argument, because he knows that that last line of defense of neoliberals are words, while he has brawn and a noose. He smirks because he successfully made liberals remove/weaken enough the one group that is a threat to fascists, the only other group that is capable of speaking the same language as fascists

Problem with india is that there are too many of them and they have no intention of assimilating. Any country that has a fair and impartial immigration system will instantaneously become a tiny india. Thats an existential crisis for existing residents that genuinely love their nations's existing culture. Had those residents wanted to embrace indian culture, they would have willing moved there themselves.

Even the stupid skill quota system doesnt work in an impartial immigration sysytem because it will very quickly be flooded with millions of docs, engineers, nurses, lawyers, etc from India who will, through sheer numbers , crowd out the rest of equally qualified applicants from kuwait, swaziland, or nepal. And china is no better on this as we can see how they overwhelm the canadian and japanese systems. Any type of category or job type will default to the high population countries without specific country-by-country quotas

I think the only way to have immigration work is by having a national quota per naiton. Nothing wrong with new people, but why not let people from Latvia or Urugay or Kenya have a shot?

The nerve of these crakkas to be on Aboriginal Land complaining of immigration and before people shyt on this white worshipping pathetic excuse of an Indian just know this how Tariq got A LOT of you nikkas looking
Breh its low key worse here when you think about it, Because our aboriginals are Mexicans/Native American. We are literally deporting people off land this nation stole from them in the first place.
Not only because alot of mexicans have native ancestry. also because half this country used to literally be mexico. The invaders are treating the natives like foreigners

I'm not an immigrant, so I honestly don’t know... But why cant an immigrant believe there should be a limit to immigration? If you're an immigrant are you morally bound to support unlimited immigration to the county you arrived at?
