im from oakland but my ties to chicago run deep. Being signed to moveltraxx as well which is one of the most active and respected labels in baltimore club/jersey club/juke/footwork and putting out our own juke/160 EPs has helped establish us.

We have a EP from dj phil of teklife and a remix from DJ Manny dropping soon.

One of the brehs in the photography thread is always posting pics from that group on IG pretty sure he's in Chicago but I may be mistaken, he definitely runs with a footwork/juke music crowd though

not familiar with this until you showed me, thank you for putting me on.

Juke tends to be from 145-160bpm, its normally four to the floor like most classic house but the basslines vary in a way that is almost like raggae dub , juke sort of serves as a link between footwork and ghetto house.

Footwork tends to be a bit more minimal in its production and also tends to be more battle oriented, its sort of hard to explain as im not from chicago so i try to get this is accurate as possible, but the way the clicks, hi hits etc are on the song dictates the speed and syncopation between feet and rhythm when its being played. here are a couple of video examples
