There's a certain amount of truth to this, but it's dishonest to just put LeBron's "skills" under the microscope like that, especially in an era where players have more refined motor, perceptual and cognitive skills than ever before. Take LeBron in his prime and send him to any distant era in the past. and you'd be able to see the difference between his skill level and the rest of the league. And if we're doing this to LeBron for top-5 discussions, than we have to do the same to the likes of Magic - who basically had a diet-version of LeBron's scoring skillset.
