WHAT DOES ROSE SHOOT FROM BEYOND THEEE FEET?
Rose effectively shoots 42.9% beyond three feet, worse than Lebron's 43.0%. It's close enough, though, that they're basically the same so far as shooting goes.
Of course, that drops to 7% on possessions when Lebron is guarding him.
And Lebron is better than Rose at every other meaningful aspect of the game.
And the Bulls will defeat Lebron in a playoff series the day Rose grows a third ACL.
Which I think it what keeps inspiring these threads from you.
SO TAKING 3PS OUT OF THE EQUATION
AND BRON STILL SHOOTS BELOW 40% FROM OUTSIDE OF THREE FEET.
TYPED ALL THAT shyt FOR NOTHING
HAHAHA
Why would you take threes out of the equation?
You see, threes are worth MORE than twos. Shooting 34% from three is the same as shooting 51% on midrange twos. That's why Lebron focuses on threes instead of midrange twos. And that's why he's a more effective scorer outside 3 feet than Rose, Wade, Iverson, Magic, etc. Unlike certain internet mods, he actually understands how a basketball game is scored and can take effective shots.
And among volume shooters, even the best midrange scorers like Kobe and McGrady and Rose only shoot 41-42% on twos outside of three feet. That's why this thread is pure stupidity. When comparing him to other volume scorers, he's right there with the others on twos, and BETTER than they on threes, which makes his just as effective from three feet and out.
The ONLY thing keeping you from realizing this, other than your intense standom, is that you don't understand that threes are worth more than twos, and so you just average them together, which makes the guy who doesn't shoot threes look better and the guy smart enough to focus more on threes look worse.
34% CAREER 3P IS BELOW AVERAGE THOUGH.
HES A BELOW AVERAGE SCORER FROM EVERY DISTANCE BEYOND 3 FEET.
BELOW AVERAGE FT SHOOTER TOO.
HE CANT BE TOP 5.
34% from three is better than average, especially for a forward, AND better than every other top-5 candidate in history.
Jordan wasn't shooting 34%, Magic wasn't shooting 34%, and of course Kareem/Duncan/Wilt/etc. weren't shooting 34%. I can even name guards like Wade and Kobe and Rose who weren't shooting 34% from three. The only arguably top ten player who shot better on threes than Lebron was Bird at 37%, and Bird only made 0.7 threes/game in an era where they didn't even guard out to the three-point line, so that hardly counts. In fact, Bird was WORSE than Lebron at threes in the playoffs (Lebron 33.2%, Bird 32.1%). So if we're going by stats alone, like the OP, Lebron is indisputably the greatest playoff three-point shooter of any of the arguable GOATs.
And Lebron's 39% from 16-23 feet is better than NBA average as well. And better than every other top-5 GOAT candidate outside Jordan.
Ya'all are so desperate to find something to get Lebron on, you've been reduced to criticizing him on only being "good" instead of "great" on the least efficient shot in basketball. "But he only shoots 40% on midrange twos! That's a 3% lower than the great midrange shooters!"
40% midrange twos and 75% free throws are the closer thing you got to a criticism in his entire game.
