Bahamas

Was there for a week back in March for a project. I had been there before as a teenager so i had some familiarity to it. Didnt get the chance to party much but still had a great tiime

Restaurants

Cafe Martinique - Straight up awsomeness. Great food great drinks great athmosphere
Bimini Road - Awsoem food but the mixed rum drinks is what this place is all about. Many nights I had to stumble my way back to my hotel room after dining there. THe alcohol sneaks up on you in those drinks
Conch Salad Stands - My absolute favorite thing about the bahamas. They are located near the Bridge to Paradise island.

Things to do.

  • Snorkling
  • Beach
  • Beach Volleyball
  • Site seeing
  • Clubs downtown are fun

Locals are friendly. I was blessed because i met this little honey and she took me around and showed me the place. She was a horrible driver though  but nice girl. Fun times :inlove: We still keep in touch.

They can't drive for shyt in the Bahamas. Driving around like maniacs and shyt. Now that I think of it, most places I've been, the roads are narrow as hell and the driving is chaotic

Beautiful island, beautiful people. Situated in the biggest coral reef system after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and the water is the clearest blue you'll ever see. Snorkeling and scuba diving is PIFF. Food (and everything) is mad cheap. The freshest fish you'll ever taste :ahh: The people are real cool n laid back, a mix of black Caribbeans, typical "spanish" looking Hondurans, and Garifunas who are black/indio and have a dope ass very much African culture. I wish I could live there!!

I think the spanish ones are lowkey racist though cause one of em asked me what I was cause he thought I was Cuban or something cause I'm light skin and curly hair. I told him naw I'm just black. He was like noooo don't say you're black blahblahblah :scusthov:. Kinda awkward :guilty:

I also may go Montreal over the winter, kinda undecided

  • Olympic events (that week)
  • Plenty of parties
  • Women

Was there for 3 days at the beginning of the month. Basically was in London and took the train (EuroStar) there. This was my first time there too and I was excited about it but as much as I expected... it smashed my expectations. Truely most beautiful city I have ever been in. Their subway system much better than NY's and more efficient

Restaurants

  • Les Enfant perdus - This was a little hole in the wall type place i found near my hotel but awesom food.
  • Really too many to name. We walked all over the city and ate at so many places i lost count and gained 10 lbs. I'll update the names when im done with my expense report since i have the receipts

Things to do.

  • Women - Gentlemen, THIS is the gold mine. In te past when i thought of Paris i never thought of wome. Boy oh Boy was I wrong.
  • Site seeing - If you love beautiful architecture you will not wanna live. That place is marvelous.
  • Festivals - there seem t be a lot of festivals there but i was just there the wrong week :(
  • Women - Did i mention the women?:gladbron:

The people there were cool too. Not very patient if you dont speak the language according to my coworker but they were fine with me since im fluent in french. I cant wait to go back.

I'll up some pics later

DAmn...wish I could travel!

My friend moved to Austrailia last week

my other friend quit his job and is gonna backpack

I would love to be able to up and quit my job and travel the world!

On my way back from a trip, I sat next to a woman who was 73 and had just come back from a summer backpacking in South America. She said she's backpacked through 53 countries during her life. She was really inspiring but I couldn't see myself hitchhiking in an unknown country!

Hell, I wouldn't even hitchhike in my own country!
