The more threads i read, the more I'm convinced patriot stans are more delusional than lakerstans. The amount of reaching patriot stans have done to argue that the other side is reaching is pure recursive illogic. Instead of addressing evidence, all I've seen is attacks on motivation and a fixation on tangential evidence that doesn't support either side.

Weren't some of you claiming A. Hernandez was going to get off :beli:

How can we address "evidence" when there isn't a shred of evidence of any wrongdoing by the Patriots.

And, for those wondering about what the NFL has to gain by doing this, they have a lot to gain. No one will be able to say they give preferential treatment to their stars, and if the NFLPA has to focus most of their attention of discipline during the next CBA, the owners will be able to bend the NFLPA over on other issues as the NFLPA will be focused on one topic.

The NFL is shady as hell. Look at the primetime games for ESPN this year. They are complete garbage, and it's clearly retaliation for the ESPN being harsh of Goodell and his cronies for the Ray Rice incident last year. This is why ESPN has been nut-hugging Goodell the entire time during this bull-shyt.

Facts.

Why?

I keep asking but nobody can answer.

Why would the league want to trash one of their biggest stars/franchises?

Why?
Still trying to figure this one out. Yeah it's gotta be great for your brand when your league's biggest star is a cheater. How can that benefit the league?

Goodell is a piece of shyt so pulling some nonsense like that isn't something I would place beneath him

But my question is: how does it benefit the NFL to try to destroy the reputation of its golden boy star as a cheater?
To gain favor from the other hating ass franchises and their fans. Trying to willie lynch brehs in the NFL. :sas2:

Brehs thinking yeah they punishing Brady and Pats, there's parity but now goodell will be able to lay the hammer down on brehs on smaller ish. no fuss is expected because they wanted to point to Brady and pats as if they can it, you can get it too. :mjpls:

Brady and the Pats are sacrificial for the future not fairness.

:dahell: did you see the bounties they had on Cam Newton ?

i didnt support their actions, i was on their side in terms of how goodell fukked the team over and the whole process

that's what i'm not sure on, i was listening to that Mason and Ireland show on espn radio and Mason i think threw around that they wanted to make up for their fumbling on the AP, Hardy and Ray Rice stuff last year. But it seems like a real stretch that they'd go in on a qb ( any of them) and a organization for something that previously was just a 25k fine. why not just wait till the next player fukks up and handle that shyt.

yeah the motives are unclear. i think the whole thing spiraled out of control more than the nfl thought it would and by then with the 5 million wells report they were pretty much pot committed to having to justify the entire ordeal with an outrageous penalty.

this league exec Mike Kensil seems to be responsble for the entire thing, from running around the pats sideline telling them they fukked and and they he got them, to leaking the story to that indy reporter the same night to the fake PSI numbers to mortenson. one might ask why kensil would have an ax to grind with the pats :jbhmm:

Kensil's father, Jim, occupied similar positions to the one his son is in now (except in reverse). Beginning in the league office, Jim Kensil rose to become NFL executive director, running many of the day-to-day operations. Former NFL commissioner Pete Rozelle referred to him as "my offensive and defensive coordinator." Following that, he became team president of the Jets in 1977, staying in the role until 1988.

Correspondingly, Mike Kensil worked in the same role for the Jets for 28 years before moving to the league office. He was in New York for Bill Belichick's infamous "one day reign" over the team before departing for New England. Kensil was fired in 2006 by former Belichick assistant Eric Mangini (all of this was noted by CSNNE reporter Tom Curran in a January column). The obvious implication in noting the ties to the Jets was that Kensil hates the Patriots (or, specifically, Belichick).

"I do know that Kensil has been agitating about footballs for months with the Patriots" Curran told WEEI's Dennis & Callahan on Wednesday morning. "He has been asking around about possible football manipulation for months, leading into this. So, it's kind of his white whale."

Again, you've made a determination on flimsier evidence than you are criticizing for being flimsy :francis:

This is delusional stanning.
