How
was this dude the 4th pick in the draft?

He has great measurables, he can pass, and they liked his attitude in addition to the flashes of a player he could be.Howwas this dude the 4th pick in the draft?

please don’t put this on Billy Donovan. Pat needs to own this all on himself. The same guy who has happy coming off the bench in college has no killer instinct in the league, funny that. He is who he is, and they over drafted himHe has great measurables, he can pass, and they liked his attitude in addition to the flashes of a player he could be.
Unfortunately, not only was it a big reach, but Billy Donovan is doing him no favors in terms of development. Patrick was a project from the beginning And in the middle of his first season, they pivot to win now. His main problem is that he went from a player that wasn’t getting any better to a player who has regressed.
What makes it worse, is that the very next year, in the same #4 spot, a 6th man forward from the same school was drafted in Scottie Barnes that plays like he cares.please don’t put this on Billy Donovan. Hey man, it is both. The same way you will see Matas standing in a corner to put up trees instead of having 2 to 3 players run for him a game, Pat has a similar aimlessness in his play. His lack of rebounding and not knowing when to cut our absolutely something that can be coached. We basically see a guy who has the same weaknesses for five years straight. We know he has not reached his potential even as a role player and he’s not even close to becoming more When what is asked of him it’s to stand in the corner on offense and literally figure it out.please don’t put this on Billy Donovan. I disagree with the bolded.Hey man, it is both. I actually wanted Sochan back in the LaVine/Fox dealI wouldn't trade Jeremy Sochan for Patrick Williams and I think Jeremy Sochan is one of the 10 worst players in the league AND he shoot his free throws with one hand![]()
Billy ain’t shyt but he had no chance helping that fukking bust , he can’t even make a fukking layup , he never had it famHe has great measurables, he can pass, and they liked his attitude in addition to the flashes of a player he could be.

Eh, wild exaggeration. PWill regressed this year but you can't judge his other years by how bafflingly bad he is this go. He was just as bad last year to start but came alive before the foot injury.Billy ain’t shyt but he had no chance helping that fukking bust , he can’t even make a fukking layup , he never had it fam![]()

Did not read , You and golden glove wrong as fukk …the endEh, wild exaggeration. PWill regressed this year but you can't judge his other years by how bafflingly bad he is this go. He was just as bad last year to start but came alive before the foot injury.
The problem with what AKME did is you don't draft someone in the lottery at 4 just to make them a roleplayer. You actually put them in position to body up and learn the hard way. The upside is we could definitively know that he sucks as the guy to start and the expirement would have been different to follow. The only reason he was a starter was because of defense and when he got the ball the odd time, he was sparking up from 3 even if it was only 2-3 attempts per game. Same reason drafting Dalen at 18 and having him be the least played 18th pick of all time, as well as simply deciding not to have Matas play early on. The regime and Billy don't seem to be in the development business because some of Pat's flashes never turned into an upgrade in responsibility. Has a great scoring game? Cool, stay in the corners and put up shots. He has a bum ass mentality but they sure ain't pushing him on the court.
