I wouldn't say no one was checking for French before be linked with max

I wasn't even in the loop like that as far as the whole mixtape/DVD circuit back then but even I knew who French was and was feeling a few of his joints

"I'm so special" and "Rockstar" were undeniable local bangers and I know those two videos specifically were being picked up by the blogs back in like 08 or 09 or whatever it was

I doubt max would have even fukked with French if he didn't have a movement of his own

if max gave French anything it was a really good catalogue of collaborative music but to say French wouldn't be where he his now without max idk if that's necessarily true because French has a great work ethic and a great ear in his own right and a lot of the stuff he does now doesn't even sound like the shyt him and max did in the Coke wave era

If you're of the opinion that French would have never broke through that industry door without his collaborative efforts with Max that's fine but if people think he would have gotten through regardless of max I don't necessarily think that's a reach either

dude is obviously a new age french stan who wasnt around at the time and just googled/watched old french videos... nikka had me sittin like thinkin that max didnt give him that initial push... nobody is saying max is responsible for pop that, shot caller, etc but no one would've been listening to french WITHOUT that initial push... every rapper who blows up has a core fanbase before they do for the most part... max gave him that core fanbase

That's not exactly what i said, but if it makes you feel good. I said french the reason people giving max props. If max was locked up, you think fukking al pac would be collabing with curren$y? New fans or old fans of max, he'd just be swept under the carpet, with nikkas taking credit for his styles. Curren$y did meet Harry Fraud through French, or are you gonna say Max put him on too?

Except veterans like Jadakiss, Akon n Yayo were already fukkn with French. So what if he can't get on with another controversial rapper in Max and get a bigger buzz. He had a homegrown movement from the ground up. Look at his features vs Max's features. Half french's features were with rappers established in the game, but with Max's features most of them were rappers nobody had heard of, and half of those were underground rappers from CT.

Look at all the interviews with Deb or Frenchie. Not one of them says, i introduced french to my aunt, or i signed french because he had lot of fans. They just did. They clicked and he got signed off that.
To make a fanbase in a completely new market as french did saying goodbye to the tri-state like that, that's a huge accomplishment. I'm glad he did, thank the Gs otherwise he probably would never had made it.
