Any reason why this is? It’s not like this is a new industry. Is it because there’s just more goods to be moved now a days? I have a co-worker that was talking about getting his CDL. Mind you I’m in IT and we make ok money but there’s so much room and growth to make way more.

I have two Cascadia's. Both are 2016's. One is a DD15 and the other is a Cummins ISX.
I prefer the Cummins plus the resale value is better on the Cummins.

what made you go with Freightliner over say a Volvo or International (I know Ints are garbage). Really dig the Volvos...

Used. About 30k for the one with Cummins motor. And about 25k for the one with the Detroit Diesel engine.

I went with Freightliner simply because they I seen all the mega carriers using them.
Plus Freightliners are mass produced heavily so parts are readily available for them any truck stop mechanic.
