I came to a sad realization yesterday

So I realized that I spent more time reading, talking and watching videos about videogames than I did actually playing them.
To keep it gully I don't play videogames every day but I always check these and other forums for news on games. I engage in debates about videogames, I read threads about videogames but I don't really spend much time actually playing them. Even including iphone and mobile games it's a lot harder to have time to sit down and play videogames than it is to talk about videogames.

Anyone else have the same problem?

I think that comes with getting older. I usually have time to read an article or discuss a new game on here, but finding the time to actually play them is a lot harder. I usually have 5-10 minute breaks where I can do most of that on my phone. That's a big reason why mobile games have taken off as much as they have. Why sit in the house and devote hours to playing a game when I can go out and toss on something like Angry Birds when I get a break? Between work and shyt I need to do for home, my time is limited. I usually only play my Xbox when my girl and son go to sleep, so it's only gonna get worse as I get older.

Seems like I had all the time in the world to play games back when I was a kid.

Yeah but I don't even know why I continue to research videogames and read interviews etc. Just seems like if I took all the time actually doing my school work I'd have more time for gaming.
I just think it's ridiculous how much time I devote to videogames but how little I spend actually playing them.
I'm going to try to correct this inbalance in the force by less talking and more playing

I don't want that to happen though.
I need to finish all the games I've bought so far hopefully before next gen starts.
It's a tall task no doubt, my backlog crazy.

Don't ever PC game then breh. I got like 50 games in the last year off of those steam sales.

You'll never finish those games bruh. You have to accept you wasted your money and will just use cases to reflect on a hobby that once was.

my backlog of games i only started, half finished or never played is getting up to around 20 or more.
