watch YouTube videos on html, css and javascript breh. it's easy as shyt (I find javascript hard tho). learn them so you can easily understand and edit templates you download to design sites for people

I know a little bit of css and html, not too much java.

My thing is that makes me hesitant is that why would someone hire me? You probably got mad dudes who know what they’re doing and I’m sure they’re getting all the jobs, so my biggest thing is that I don’t want to waste time and energy learning this stuff and not get any jobs from it.

Do you have any experience freelancing?

I also felt the same way, so I just learnt it as a hobby..so it's just something I have as part of my skillset. And you need to have samples created so whenever an opportunity rises, you have something to show. (I've been too lazy to do this tho. It requires a lot of motivation, knowing you might not see any money soon). I just designed a site like thecoli for my final year project and kept it moving. But I'm working a boring government job now, I'll prolly kill time designing websites

I have no experience freelancing breh. I'm the type of nikka the coli prolly hates, I'll rather have stable employment than put my self out there like that. So certs are very important to a nikka like me...

Tldr: Acquiring and mastering a new skill shouldn't be viewed as a waste of time, learn it as a hobby and let it be your side hustle

When my homie started he only was making a bit more than me. Now he needs more brehs cause he got so much work. I seen how they pay him, so I'm in.
I'm done with retail. I'm not just gonna do this and sit on my ass. Want to get my A+ cert and get in shape for a personal trainer cert too.
