He switched up his style from a poor man's Nas on Infinite when he made the Slim Shady EP which came before he even met Dre to be honest. I know.. I bought it from some Detroit record store when it dropped.

What made Dre so dope was his sampling and how epic the final product was. I dig the Scott Storch piano stab type beats that came later but this was peak Dre for me. Dre is really the only producer with the bread and connections to make sample heavy music like this in 2025 without going broke. This dude could sample The Beatles if he wanted to, Jimmy Iovine just gotta make a call or two.

The past year i’ve been getting into all the wider DPGC stuff. In all honesty Daz can still make great beats.

If they could just put the bullshyt to the side and work together again it would be the best possible option for Dre, in terms of getting back in his Quincy bag, given it’s become clearer over the years that he really does work that way.
