I was in a turbulent plane once that was shaking, had luggage compartments opening, drink carts running down the aisle and everyone was screaming. We must have dropped a few hundred feet straight down within 2 seconds. That shyt was straight terrifying. Most people probably go into shock from fear especially once the plane is going to crash. It took me years to get over that shyt, it was also one of the only times I heard my father curse so I knew the situation was bad.
Planes drop?? :damn:

Nah, at least with planes it's professionals with years of training and a bunch of people making sure it gets to the destination.

Cars have me shook way more, we really putting our lives on a daily basis in the hands of a bunch of strangers starting from 16 years old, all these psychos and stupid people out here not to mention the rage issues, non-attentiveness, and drunk driving that goes on. It's so natural to see crashes on the highway we see it as an inconvenience to our commutes instead of real danger.

Airplanes are fine as long as they are commercial. If there's one thing I'm never hopping on is a helicopter, fukk that.

Were you the one that made that plane thread a few weeks back? Thought it was you. Did you just go searching for old threads to elevate your fears? :comeon:

Only had one really bad flight when we flew into a stormy Amsterdam. Plane was going left to right, turbulence was fukked.

People breathed a HUGE sigh of relief after we landed

Been on 6 flights in the past month. You get used to it. I just get very constipated and a little light headed

But flying is dangerous, but I calm myself by the following:

1) watch YouTube videos of pilots actually flying planes. It’s very calming and they obviously know what they’re doing

2) breath through your stomach. Push your belly out as far as it can go, and suck it back in as far as it can go

3) Repeat: “Turbulence is uncomfortable, but not dangerous.”

4) visualise your destination. Arriving in the hotel and opening the door and dropping your bags off. A cocktail, taking pictures, your first meal, etc

I generally try and fly BA, Virgin or other reputable airlines as lower cost ones cut corners, but are still safe. I just never want to have that “I told you so moment”. Ever
