I'm close to 30 too, and I honestly feel waaaaaaay better than I did at 21. I'm more excited for my life and future, than I was at a young(er) age. I'm genuinely much happier all around.

Also I'm much more secure and confident in any decisions I make now. When I was younger I was just a ball of confusion. Now, I know EXACTLY what I want and expect from family relationships, friendships, romantic relationships, work and life in general. And anyone not with the program gets dropped.

Also: Save, Save, SAVE!!!!! I really understand the importance of saving now.
