nikka went from a Cavs fan, to a Heat fan, back to a Cavs fan because of following another man's career choices:scusthov:

No I am talking about the ones who not only stayed in the game but built a lead on GS while Bron was in the midst of shooting 3-20. You do realize there are two ends of the court right? We gonna act like team defense hasn't been huge? We've seen Bron play better than this and lose because teammates didn't step up.

YUP...LEBRON WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE DOWN THE STRETCH, BUT CLEVELAND STILL MANAGED TO WIN. HE BETTER THANK GOD THAT STEPH WAS HAVIN SUCH A TERRIBLE NIGHT.

I could be wrong, but I think @Newzz is tryna say that it makes no sense to say that you should root for Lebron because he's black, because almost every superstar in the NBA is Black. He pointed out Steph Curry who's on the opposing team and he's Black. So if somebody wants to root for Steph Curry instead of Lebron, they're still rooting for #BlackExcellence

I get what he's saying because we touched on that when it came to boxing when posters on this board were saying nikkas should be rooting for Floyd Mayweather, but yet they ain't rooting for any other Black fighters.

Just my 2 cents though, carry on :manny:

OP was referring to Bron, thus I was referring to da OP's topic...Bron.

Pretty simple. Not one word of mine stated anything more or less. Wasn't talkin about nobody else except da person of conversation.

It was ya boy who took it ,mutated it, and ran it off da cliff into somethin else.:aicmon:

That's exactly what I'm saying. I can't stand #BlackExcellence posts only used in reference to 1 individual. Steph Curry is black, is the MVP of the league, and just led the Warriors to some place they haven't been since the 70s.

That's #BlackExcellence as well, but stans don't get it:snoop:

So you didn't quote someone saying that he can't root for Lebron because of the fact he's a Bulls fan, by responding to him with "#BlackExcellence supersedes all that":comeon:

It also annoys me the way the analytics geeks on the blogs bust a nut for them after EVERY win they have in the playoffs.

The way they play is an analytics geeks wet dream.

I fukking hate those motherfukkers. If they coached a team they would be on a clear path fast break with a wide open lay up and nobody there and tell them to run to the corner and shoot a 3 on some "well we believe that during a series of investigations and analytical data analysis that since the corner 3 is much shorter, we want that shot 7 out of 8 times blah blah blah' :camby:

And how often has this happened? This is nothing but a manufactured talking point by people looking to take away from his ridiculous efficiency the last 3 years. Point blank there is nothing beneficial about missed shots no matter how people may want to spin it..
That's because you're looking at it from the perspective of the direct effect it has on the team from the box score. It goes beyond that.

Take this for example - Clippers/Rockets Game 7, the Clippers were down by 20 points in the 4th quarter and Paul only had 17 points on 14 shots. He allowed the Rockets to take a 20-point lead (in the 4th quarter) before he started being aggressive - scoring 9 points in 5-6 minutes. Now the question is, why is the leader, main ball-handler, best shot-creator and player who dictates the Clippers offense more than anyone else on the team allowing the game get to this point before he starts being aggressive?

The exact opposite of this situation occurred in Game 6, the Clippers had a 19-point lead near the end of the 3rd quarter and Paul stopped being aggressive, failed to protect the lead by not running the offense and allowed the Rockets to gain complete control of the game (19-pt lead turned into a 12-pt loss in about 14 minutes). I basically did a play-by-play of what happened in that 4th quarter, and how the Clippers allowed the Rockets to get back into the game. Here's a basic summary -

The long and short of it is this - Paul was coasting during the start of the 4th quarter, knowing full well what was at stake - his lack of urgency/passiveness and error of judgement cost them early in 4th quarter (three straight possessions he fukked up), allowing the Rockets to keep gaining confidence along with all the momentum. Paul didn't get the offense stabilized early - he wasn't running anything at all. He and Doc failed to switch up shyt, the Clips went over the same plays and looks which led to the Rockets defense just swallowing up their predictable offense. Griffin went 0-5 with the game in reach, Paul went 1-5 with the game in reach. Griffin missed two easy shots. They both failed to be aggressive when their team needed them to be. If Paul wasn't fading in and out of the 4th quarter, he wasn't moving the ball and failed to get the rest of the team more involved. Doc failed to call timeouts, he failed to call proper sets, and there was a communication breakdown between him and Paul.

By the time they realized the Rockets had taken the lead and extended it, it was too late. :manny:

This COULD have been all avoided if he was aggressive when his team needed him to be.

No I am looking at the obvious and indisputable fact that misses don't help, period. That is all.
