I can't believe John Madden just left and stayed away from football 100%

He was a broadcaster for like 30 years.

Whatever he had to say about the game, he said it by now.

Nah man...

John Madden was a muffucca who loved FOOTBAW.
Most of the other great Football Coaches are guys who are celebrated as motivators
and leaders - but Madden
was a Football Scientist. He helped shape not just the way the game
is strategized and played, but watched.

But the thing about people like him is that when they have a focus on their field of expertise
like he, they have little time and care for things outside of that.
(SIDEBAR: That’s what “Commitment To Excellence” is, you bytchES.)

I didn’t know the man, but I think Madden was to Football what KRS-One is to “real hip-hop” music.
He left the “mainstream”, but he still loved the game and kept up with what was what.
Yet - the real football was “ova here”.

A legend in coaching announcing and with the video games. Glad he got to see the NFL honor him for all he's done for the game before he passed away. RIP to a true legend in every since of the world.

I'm guessing the reason he doesn't make appearances is because he always hated flying. He would travel by bus to each game. He's too old for Zoom/Facetime/social media and probably doesn't want to be bothered trying to learn it. He's probably too old to get around too.

Yeah my mom told me this while watching little Giants as a jit she thought it was funny he was scared to fly

One time for all my fat crackers

RIP Madden
RIP John Candy
RIP Tommy Boy
