I can't believe people really thought WCS wouldn't make it in the league.

In the NBA, defense matters and if you're going to be an offensive zero, you have to be ELITE defensively.

You need to be Dennis Rodman/Ben Wallace/Dikembe Mutombo/Marcus Camby

I realize those examples had varying degrees of success, but if Willie Cauley Stein plans on being a long-term asset, he's gonna have to get at least 10 boards and block 3 or 4 shots every night.
Granted, he's only playing about 20 minutes per game, so maybe he actually will put up similar numbers in the long run.

WCS is good and will be fine. He's an offensive threat like DeAndre. You gotta keep a body on him at all times or he'll catch an alley or get a put back.

:dwillhuh: I mean deandre can catch lobs and bully less athletic/dumb cac bigs, but "threat" is a little much

Breh, DeAndre gets tremendous defensive attention the second he gets within 10 feet of the rim especially without the ball. He's also an extremely opportunistic and intelligent cutter

The dude can catch almost anything, jumps incredibly high and quick, and is an amazing finisher in the rim. Not keeping a body on DeAndre opens up offensive rebound opportunities, easy lobs, and momentum changing alleys.

Facts only, but that's about it man. His offensive skillset is trash. If he plays a competent big he's fukked. You can't throw him the ball on the block and tell him to score.
