Nah I could watch shows on other networks but if a show is being produced by HBO I'm definitely more inclined to watch it.

HBO is the golden standard. Usually if they slap their name on it the show is piff.

Not to mention their unprecedented production values.

There are some meh shows on HBO. Veep, How to Make it in America and Entourage were awful and completely dialogue based and plot lacking. True Detectives seems to be accolade focused than detail focused like Breaking Bad was.


After Breaking Bad, nothing impresses me anymore. There have been classic network shows like Seinfeld and Arrested Development that nothing on HBO will ever touch.

Showtime is the absolute worst. They put out one good season of a show and try to ruin it asap.
