What do you mean if she stayed lowkey?

It’s a weed pen. How does this merit 9 years in a russian prison? How isn’t our government doing everything it can to get her out? And if you want to bring up people here being incarcerated for marijuana I’d like to see the amount of people doing 9 year in the United States for a weed pen
she tried to make it political and involve the US Government when she should have just accepted her punishment
the moment the US began offering weapons dealers for her, Russia realized they can squeeze a lot more out of the uSA

she even could have even worn the Z and got in Putin's good books

I bet you felt so “special” typing all that goofy babble, didn’t you? Deciding to support her does not mean we automatically absolve her of wrongdoing, or that we’re some brainless muppets who make decisions on the whim of racist white ppl. You’re trying too hard with that corny contrarian gimmick you little goofies portray these days and you sound stupid as fk. Regurgitating a bunch of sh*t the rest of us have either already said in here or concluded elsewhere. Gtfo of my thread, twinkle toes.

The inability of people to engage in discourse without a lot of unnecessary vitriol really denotes the lack of emotional intelligence in so much of the populace. I doubt you even know what contrarian really means. Just one of those trend words you found out about that makes you think you sound smart. What does "supporting her" even mean? Sure I support efforts to get her out if they can, but I'm not going to act like it's some great evil perpetuated against a black person if they're not able to. She knew the risk, especially as a black person in Russia, and felt that it was worth it. That risk backfired. I'm trying to understand what else I'm missing about this story, goofy. And as someone who has seen instance after instance of Americans and other foreigners thinking they're "special" and trying to bring drugs into countries like Singapore, Russia, Thailand etc and get got, you'd think they'd learn a lesson but nope I guess.

Hey, maybe Brittany can be an example to save many other people from taking that risk. If so, this won't be in vain goofy.

So if he chose to seek asylum in Canada or the UK they wouldn't give him up based on the technicality that he wasn't charged? :comeon:

Important to remember that Russia wasn't his planned destination, he just got held there after his passport was canceled.
I don't think the application you are applying with snowden works for her scenario. She is a foreign citizen caught with contraband entering a country she is not a citizen for and was arrested in the same country. The jurisdiction of law is Russia.

Snowden committed a crime in America while working as a privileged employee under the United States government. Land of jurisdiction is America. America has extradition agreements with canada/UK.

If I'm missing the comparable factors, I just don't see it breh. Everything else is immaterial

It's a fukking cannabis oil cartridge she could've easily brought it with her accidentally, either way she's being used as a bargaining chip. Anyone else or at any other time they would just kick her out or ban her from the country. Isn't Edward Snowden a fugitive, why is he able to stay in Russia? Because it's politically advantageous to have him live in Russia.
First off saying it's just whatever is like me saying I live right down the street when I get pulled over for drinking and driving. I knew I wasn't supposed to do that so the reason doesn't matter if it's not legal in that area.

Second they don't just throw people out of the country. Even if that was the case she should have known the risks befor doing illegal shyt. That's her fault. Can't count on our government to protect us in this country so don't expect them to do any different in a different country much less a country they can't go into to rescue you.

Third Edward Snowden is there for leaking american intelligences. You really think a country that spends millions to do the same thing will punish him? No they're using him for what he can get while providing protection.

My point is that judging her for breaking the law in a foreign country is bullshyt because the Russian judicial system changes the rules to whatever benefits them at the moment. Not to literally compare her to Snowden or some random person. And for even more context Marc Fogel an american teacher who lectured in russia was used to carrying half ounces and multiple carts at a time into the country but in July after Britney he got 14 years. The shyt is unfair, so free BG, if their laws are so fluid they can change them for political gain then change them right now and exchange her for another prisoner.

Americans love putting their American laws and opinions on other countries.

Either follow the law of the land you’re visiting or deal with the consequences :heh:
That's like what Patrice Oneal said. Dude said he goes to other countries and treat them like they're foreigners. Asking them why they talk like that. They need to learn English :russ:

Their country their laws. Might not seem fair to us but we don't live there. She knew that so why take that chance in the first place. People always think it won't happen to them until it does.
