Yes. They can move into an Apartment TODAY, first 3 Months rent free. I drive by it on my way to work every day.
The “this can’t be done” crowd will just move the goalposts to something else

I had fun in college. Didn’t waste my 20’s. At no time in history could you afford to bullshyt in your 20’s. The world was never built that way.

the "I ima be a free spirit in my 20s" folks tend to be trust fund babies or people who will live lives of failure lol

Especially if you're making average and below money. :snoop:

I think a lot of us 35+ and up, spent a lot of our 20s bullshytting and trying to live the Hotboy and Sex in the City lifestyles, but still was able to slow it down towards our 30s a build a career, purchase a home and become somewhat comfortable. With how things are now, I don't think people will have a lot of time to waste in their 20s. My best advice is to find a solid wife/husband and build together. Can't afford to be single for decades like we did.
:ehh:

Inflation really fukked things up even more for new grads. A lot of the salaries I’m seeing is lower than what was offered like 6 years ago.

I was looking up salaries for my old job as an entry level production assistant. It basically pays the same as it did in 1996.

The formula has remained the same forever. Planning long term requires short term sacrifice. People just don’t have the discipline and patience. It’s your own fault one way or another for struggling in your 30s. You can blame rent, house costs, car costs, child care costs or whatever the fukk else you want to blame. But boils down to not putting forth the requisite sacrifice in your 20s to make your bed. Get roommates. Focus on education and networking. Don’t have kids before you get a full on career. Don’t get into large debt. Have more get togethers for games or whatever at someone’s crib rather than ringing up constant bar tabs. Skip on the club once in a while. Pass on that big car note. It ain’t rocket science
This makes sense until you look at the data and that wages haven't kept up with living cost for over 30 years....unless you're in the top 3%. If multiple generations are experiencing the same thing, something other than "personal choices" or a work effort, are causing this.

Thing again if we don't shift the blame to individuals, we'll have to blame the systems. Blame the systems and we'll have to change the systems. Do that and individuals won't willingly work themselves to death, to feed the system. There will be no need to. And right now the system is doing great.....even if individuals are suffering.

As a 20 year old it definitely seems like shyt is hard, but all you got to do is keep it pushing honestly:yeshrug:

These past two years have been nothing but a grind for me and I don’t regret it, I got a fat savings rn, a car with no note and I’m close to applying for the X-ray program and graduating. Work hard so you can have a comfortable life later.

I can't imagine it being any more difficult than graduating in 2006, where gas prices were so bad the president just cut us checks DURING college, september 11th happened either as a senior in HS or freshman in college, a war started and your peoples was going overseas to fight...somebody?...and some weren't coming back and many were coming back real fukked up...and oh yeah the entire american and global economy collapsed and layoffs were off the charts. Oh and you may as well burn that business undergrad degree you just got and just ride it out and go to gradschool :francis:. The 2008 economy was WAY worse than it is right now. And rates were just as high until they started aggressively cutting; higher than today.

we didn't have influencer money, followers, or onlyfans...we threw parties, sold CDs, and we had EBAY at best. We didn't have dating aps, you had to talk or you wasn't gettin' nothin.

the HS classes of 00-02 got fukked the worst in this era
'04 was rough too....we graduated college in '08. Engineering brehs ate well but I know a lot of folks that went to grad school to wait shyt out.

You’re right about finding a solid woman early

The dating scene is beyond trash.
I had a chick that was down for me would do anything I tell her to do. I messed it up and she married the next dude. I tell you right now don’t play with people cause you reap what you sow. When it comes back to you it don’t feel good. The word of God is real. All that player lifestyle switching women is evil and will have you in courtrooms and all types of new evils in your life.
