I used to feel the opposite. I would sometimes find it hard to believe that I exist, and I’m me, and experiencing life as an existing person.

Same tbh. Especially when I start thinking about all the people that lived in the past, and now all the people who live elsewhere on Earth, and in the middle of all that here I am. Not even the size of a grain of sand in regards with the universe. Feels absurd that I actually exist and that I'm typing this message to an unknown person on an internet forum. Why, and why am I HERE and NOW?

Been thinking more about this after having a near death experience last year. Not even from a religious aspect but knowing everyday the clock is ticking down and every little thing we do either slows it down or speeds it up. Its hard to imagine just turning off and thats it. Guess thats why i always was a big fan of science fiction. Maybe AI is the next creation that gains consciousness and wonders whats next when its battery is done
