Posted some of my shyt in Phonzi's thread
Oh ok, dont forget the pics brehI belive in natural compistional talent, I however do not belive in natural pencil/technical talent or or skill.
It's a nonsensical notion that there is anything like a natural when it comes to drawing. As I stated before, there are certain aspects of pencil art that simply did not exist before 600 years ago.
Because FoV, linear foreshortening, 3dimensional objects, proper shading, and size accurate depth of view havr only been perfected "relatively" recently.... does that mean everyone born over 2 thousand years ago was a naturally bad artist?
No, it just means that the techniques and innovations were not made yet. Natural talent will get you only as far as your composition goes, the rest has to be hammered into you brain and hands through hours upon hours of meticulous repetition.
There is nothing natural about it .
Ask your favorite artist to share you pictures of when they first started, they are probably trash.
If they did not put in the time to train and hone their talents, their "natural ability" would not have caused 1 iota of growth in terms of their level of skill. Their art would not have improved at all. They would have actually gotten worse.
This art shyt is not a game. I can stop playing basketball for a 3 years, put on some sandals and dunk on 95% of the coli like I'm fresh out the DLeague. If i stop drawing for 3 years....
I'll upload some pencil work when I get to the crib

The artists you see online today spent decades to get to an expert level to be able to show their art off. Taking a few stabs at art for a few days will not do much. You need to devote years to art to make a real change in your art skills. That means drawing at least once everyday spending the entire week in drawing and studying art. Carrying a sketchbook with you everywhere. It takes determination and a real passion for art.I never had any natural drawing skills. They are extremely below average. Even my handwriting has always been poor. This shyt has always pissed me off because I really like art and would love to do some of that cool shyt myself.
I had just accepted the fact throughout my life that I couldn't draw. But a few years ago, I was like fukk this shyt, I'm a pretty smart dude, I can teach my self to be a respectable artist. Well, I was wrongI brought like 2 how to draw for beginner books, the graphite pencil set, special erases, portfolio and all that shyt. I started looking up stuff about theory and shapes and shyt and really immersing myself into this drawing shyt. My performance even took a hit a work cause a nikka used to be sketching all day at the desk
But my shyt was horrible y'all. I mean, I got better, but I pretty much went from horrible to terrible. And don't get me started on trying to shade some shyt. I don't think my mind fully grasp that concept because I just don't get it. I mean, I get it, but whenever I try to shade some shyt it just looks pathetic. I would post some pics but I been threw all that shyt away. But trust me y'all, the shyt was horrible.
Now yesterday, I went and brought all this art shyt again (had given the old stuff away) I'm gonna try one more time. I read all this shyt online talking about anyone can learn to draw, but I'm not sure. I tried so hard. I just don't think it's for me. I don't think that you can do anything you put your mind to. That's a myth.
Got any more work of his you can post?Drawing is a weird thing.........If you're good at it as a young age you need to keep it up. I was good but I stopped. And now my younger brother is killing it. Here's a pic of his alternate Spider-Man for a contest.

I wasn't spending that much time on it, but a fair amount of time. I think the problem is that it wasn't "clicking" for me. I can't draw naturally, so I tried to learn concepts and theories on how to draw. Thta's when I found out that it's all about shapes. But even though I understand the concept, I don't "get it" Also, I don't have good spatial intelligence. Like I'm really weak in that area. I can't picture stuff in my head that good. Can you rearrange a room in your head and know how it will look? I can't do that either. I think that has something to do with my poor drawing skills
Spatial Intelligence is an area in the theory of multiple intelligences that deals with spatial judgment and the ability to visualize with the mind's eye.
