He reached his zenith during the 8 mile soundtrack. Em was sick on that soundtrack. Relapse had a few great joints, but after that, he went downhill.

The Aftermath/Dre/Interscope distortion fog has completely worn off from him (and Dre) to the point where it's no longer and event when he drops an album/vid anymore. who the fukk wants to listen to him scream all over records on these trash Limp Bizkit style beats. Not only is he wack, but so is Rick Rubin's overrated ass. Dude has a lifetime co-sign/pass off the strength of a Def Jam legacy that most people dont even know they nuts and bolts of.
Recovery had 25 to life, Seduction, the intro and probably another joint that I fukked with.. Relapse had a few more cuts than Recovery but after that every single song has been garbage.
He's still in my top 10 though, at #10.

I'ma just bump relapse and cross my fingers in hopes that this new album isn't completely horrible. 
Dude is still nice he just doesn't really know what he wants to do it seems, there is nothing to fight for/against at this point and that's when he's at his best, when he's responding, or has some kind of struggle. Relapse was him fighting his shadow which is why even with all the criticism you have joints on there that just can't be denied. His last "challenge" on recovery was more about bouncing back as some kind of force within the top 40...it worked but that shyt ain't real, it ain't real enough to push him to where he needs to be at.
If the records sell and the singles chart, his kids are grown and seem to be halfway normal, he's sober and seems to have made peace with proof's passing...da fukk is driving him? Being nice? His legacy? If he doesn't feel accomplished in those areas at this point he'll never be satisfied, and it shows in his current day material.
