No, how about you draft smart, don't overpay & build your team that way. Sacramento, Charlotte, Milwaukee, Minnesota. & a bunch of teams have tanked successfully for several years and have been garbage collectively for a decade.

You can find star players throughout the draft, tanking solves nothing

This works in the other sports but in the NBA you absolutely NEED a superstar/hall of fame caliber player to win.

Those teams like Minnesota, Sac-Town, Charlotte, and Washington have terrible management, draft bust most of the time if it ain't a no brainer pick like John Wall or Cousins.

That's the reason why those teams tank poorly. Look at the Hawks when BK was tanking. A lot of Hawks fans associate tanking with BK. Well, he had four top 7 picks and 1 other lotto pick during 04, 05, 06, 07. He drafted Josh Childress, Marvin Williams over CP3 and Deron, Shelden Willams, Al Horford, and Acie Law. Out of those players only Al Horford has been an All Star and All NBA. The rest are either out of the NBA or seen as bust. That's an example of terrible drafting. I see tanking like I see sign players. There are good management (The Heat, generally the Lakers, and the Utah Jazz.) Terrible Management (Wizards, Bucks, Kings, Knicks, T-Wolves and Charlotte.) Both Charlotte and Minnesota have seen to improve recently but it's still bad management.

Any NBA fan will tell you, before Danny Ferry, the Hawks were one of the worst managed teams. Who the hell creates threads like this for any NBA team:
http://www.the-coli.com/coliseum/107163-can-atlanta-hawks-just-go-away-please.html#.UdRAOm0WCz4

I don't see that for the Jazz or Nuggets. A good management would never put a bunch of talented non-fit players on the court like the Hawks who still don't have elite talent. At least the Heat have elite talent.

As much as hate to say it but @Premeditated is right. That in the middle boring bullshyt the Hawks did last year was Basketball abomination. We made a nice team to watch in Indy look like a HS Basketball with retarded kids. That series was barely watchable as a diehard Hawks fan and you want mediocrity again nikka?

They really should consider adding a lower level league ala soccer. The lower league could have the international ACB teams and d-league.

The bottom NBA 2 teams get demoted and 2 lower league teams get promoted.

This shyt where teams blantantly just giving up star players for nothing is bad for the game. Being rewarded for being terrible is ass backwards. If you wanna be terrible go play with Reno and Delaware.

We did the research on the Hawks forum. The answer is, NO ONE. Even the Pistons was loaded with top 5 picks. Big Ben wasn't a 1st round but Billups, Sheed, Rip, were all top 8 picks.

Even the Bulls had three top 5 picks on some of their teams.

This ain't soccer. nikkas don't have allegiance to their club for 100's and 100's of years. In the NBA, fans who don't have a player or team of value come to the games to watch the other team.

Yup this idea you can build through the draft with just mid and late first round picks is hillarious, none of these dudes become Lebrons or Shaqs or Duncans those guys are always drafted at the top of the draft.

People talk about how many high picks are busts do they realize how many guys in the teens and up are out of the league after their rookie deal ends :beli:

If you have relegation, you'd have to get rid of the draft and the salary cap. That's not gonna work.

Philly, I don't know you much but I see you got the right mindset. When you made the tank thread for the Sixers, I agreed. Philly is like ATL in a sense that we love our team when we got something to cheer about. For example, Philly had one of the best fanbases in the NBA when A.I. was in his prime. During the Dr. J years, Philly was rocking. This shyt I watched with Jrue was extremely boring. Now it wasn't bad hoops but it was boring, methancial and you seem to know what was going to happen before it did. Most fans would come to watch the other teams even during the 2nd round year. That doesn't make Philly Sixers fans bad, just made their team poorly ran. When you tanked for a chance at Wiggins, you as a fan had something to watch for in the long run. That's real breh.

Best way to win is getting cheap good talent through the draft especially if you can't attract big fa

I'd rather tank and be guaranteed a wuggjns , randle, smart, parker, Harrison twins

Than to be knocked out in four games in the first round
