Lol I fukk with Prodigy heavy but nikkas act like he was some amazing MC. He had a great voice and said a lot of hard shyt that sounded dope, but he was never an incredible lyricist like that.

I was listening to wrong ones the other day and it reminded me how crazy that verse on the was

Cannibalism is livin in my metabolism
Givin em spasms and aneurisms at baby baptisms
That's all my thugs thinkin bout, drinkin your blood
Boriquans love flooded rugs bloody and bloated mugs
Leavin the reverand decap' and severn when I'm beheadin
The Armageddeon is lettin demons slip into Heaven
Goin back to spiritual ritual times
What you gon' find - shiftings of Satan in critical bind
Nevermind, I do that often, I've risen often
Bust out my coffin, I'm a livin abortion:wow:

ya pun as a pure rhymer was up there, and he was versatile, he didn't have much control over his second album due to his demise so it didn't come out as cohesive, but it had sum gems on there too

Capital Punishment is top 5 for me, Pun is top 5 for me..

What amazed me the most is what Nore said back in the day, he was amazed how well Pun had breath control, while rhyming. I mean dude was obese and he could flow like crazy... I am 20lbs over weight and I got to wait a good 5sec before I say hello to anyone when I walk up 20 steps :mjlol::noah:

I hate a actor that plays a rapper
I'm Terror Squad beta kappa everybody's favorite rapper
Grand imperial college material insane criminal
The same nikka who known to blow out your brain mineral
I reign subliminal inside your visual
Try to supply your physical with my spiritual side of this lyrical
I'll appear in your dreams, like Freddie do, no kidding you
Even if I stuttered I would still sh-sh-sh-shyt on you

...Pun treating Rap like a Lyrical Sport is what I missed the most about the game:mjcry:

Just off strictly rapping, there aren't 5 nikkas better than Pun.

Capital Punishment >>>>

And Yeeeah Baby wasn't nearly as bad as everybody made it out to be. shyt was dope and had it's fair share of bangers. It just wasn't Capital Punishment, and it wasn't meant to be. Pun admitted before he died that YB was supposed to be less hardcore and more mainstream in an attempt to reach a broader fanbase.

And even then he still had songs showing he could still go off if he wanted to...

Lol @ acting like the Renegade verse is some apex of lyricism :mjlol:

Pun would make Eminem look like a twerp if they rapped together. Eminem was getting outshined by Royce da 5'9 in his prime. :camby:

You must be a cac seriously :wtf: actin like Em spittin triple entendres like Lupe(dnt care what lupe said at a concert) im a nas stan & he made him rewrite his verse on "john blaze" I only have Kool G Rap seein Pun bar for bar stop it!

i been listening to hip-hop since i was 11/12..i'm 26 now and honestly, i think Pun might be the only MC that ever truly wowed me.
mentioned it many times on here..when i first put on Capital Punishment and the intro into Beware...that shyt hit me like a ton of bricks.

at his best, i don't there was anybody that was nicer than him but that was only a short space of time compared to guys like G Rap and Rakim who were consistently razor sharp for decades.

Nas
Pac
DOOM/ Zev love
Ghostface
prodigy
scarface
andre 3000
AZ
Biggie
JayZ

I don't know about Prodigy, MF Doom, or Biggie being better MCs, same level at best, Ghostface is iffy, agree with the rest, I'd also add:

Krayzie Bone

KRS

Chino XL

Pharoah Monche

Eminem

We'd have to define MC. Scarface and Biggie are better rappers than Pun, but Pun is better as a true MC, so it would be nice to have a little clarification as to what we're getting at. If it's true skills, Pun is a much better MC than Scarface and Biggie, is flow and breath control is ridiculous
