No when you insinuate that there is a rape culture that exists in America that implies there is a group of people that openly and actively engage in rape. That is not the case, in America. You can say so in the middle East where it is socially accepted to rape a woman because she lost her Virginity or use rape as a punishment in general. There is no rape culture that exists in America. Like the guy said there are those that rape and those that do not... As rape in this country is seen as one of the most despicable acts that one can commit.

I've heard of prison culture which would include prison rape, but never the idea of rape culture being exclusive to men in prison. And even if that was true, the context it's being used in now includes women seeing how they are far more likely to be a victim of rape than men. Even when men do get raped a large percentage of them are being raped by other men.

The concept of "rape culture" doesn't mean it's any more socially acceptable to just have your way with a woman in public than it is to be blatantly racist. But misogyny, like racism is so deeply ingrained into our culture that it can be hard to spot. It's like asking a fish to tell you where the water is...that fish has been immersed in the water it's whole life the same way a lot of men have been immersed in a culture that is built on ideals from a religious text that essentially blames women for mankind ills...the shyt is deep.
