I had a cousin that got infected by Salmonella. She ended up paralyzed for a minute until the infection was gone. Every time this thread pops up I'm reminded why I only eat my Moms chicken and chicken I get from particular restaurants if it ain't my own.

Yall know washing the chicken just gets off that film on top of the chicken? Doesnt clean up anything on the inside. And as long as you are cooking your chicken fully through, that kills any of the bacteria better than these homemade remedies. You can keep doing what you've been doing but I'm 30 years salmonella free without any of that chicken prep.

All you need is something acidic like lemon, vinegar, to “clean” it. All my meats I marinate/season (no homo) before I cook them. At least for a whole day

All you need is a pot and a bowl that's gonna be used to deal with the chicken and transferring it and you good. I don't even wash my shyt in the sink, it's just a pot with some lime and water so I can clean off all that residue that comes with it before we start seasoning.

But to each his own.:yeshrug:
