Over 70 posts......and not ONE nikka can explain what it is about a business contract (that a woman can opt out of any time and take a big chunk of your money & property) that makes a stronger family unit, than one where a mother and father simply stays together in the same house, raise their kids and grow old together, without the ceremony and high-risk, one-sided contract
Marriage itself don't have shyt to do with the black family. Men and women actually staying together and raising their kids in the same home, is a different story. The problem is, some of y'all honestly believe the 2 are the same thing, and they're NOT. And they don't HAVE to be.

They're an anomaly. The institution of marriage will always do the 'black community' better than the opposite.
but the piece of paper doesn't really deter members from "breaking up the unit"divorce is often costly. the money spent towards lawyers and such would benefit the family more than anything.
and what penalties should women suffer for wanting to end their marriage, since they are usually the ones initiating divorce.

Right and you know that is not getting fixed anytime soon, there is a disconnect between men and women in general these days. So what should we do. For all the complaining we do about fatherless black kids there are a lot of white kids in mixed families right now and that in my opinion is just as bad.Learn what idealized means

fukk outta nikka, these are facts. 70% of divorces are initiated by the woman. which is ironic because i'm willing to bet at least 70% of the women started that marriage talk first. so i want to know what punishment the main perpetrators of divorce should receive, if @Poitier had his way.

The angle you're trying to take this debate into has NOTHING to do with the OP. The OP is about the fact that black people should encourage a marital nuclear unit in order to strengthen the black community.
We should have more husbands and wives, we should have more kids growing up with that as an example. This is common sense. Now you're talking about divorce and what punishment women should get
