II'm a Benz C300 owner but this definitely is in a different league.
Is there a really noticeable difference in quality between Porsche and Mercedes?

I tend to favor luxury over speed but the Panamara is a dream car for me.

Depends on the Mercedes in question imo...there's a definite difference between the Porsche and the lower tier Benzos...but once you start getting into the S class, SLS, etc ranges, then it's closer.

I bought a 2017 sports car in manual. Had to drive auto for 5 years and hated it. Enthusiasts know the difference, it's because you have more control at all times. The hills in San Fran would actually be more fun. If you want to drive purely for performance then yeah the autos shift faster. Porsche PDK transmission is so fast they actually discontinued the manual on many 911 models
