I'd be ok with this if someone was running away with the division. The fact that they're right there and the offense is at this level, you almost have to add a piece or two on defense if the plan is extending Pickens now.

It's not gonna fix the defense this season tho. Cowboys have the second most cap space in the NFL. Pickens and Williams are the only starters on offense that aren't locked up beyond this season.
