This is exactly why the Cowboys didn't trade Micah to Philly.
They wanted draft picks AND help in the middle. Packers gave em a solid guy that still has a few years left and two #1's. Eagles added the 3rd/5th but Kenny is worth more than those two picks.
Dallas probably wanted two #1's AND Carter but that would be stupid on Philly's part. They wouldn't even do a #1 + Carter for Micah because they likely view them as equal.

What in their recent history makes you think that they would have been willing to make Micah the highest paid non QB ever, because it has become clear that is the number one thing Micah cared about over everything else
