The last time this defense was up to par, was when we had a coach who actually understood what “good defense” takes and didn’t listen to the “GM” of this team…Bill Parcells ain’t walking thru them doors ANYTIME soon…the way this franchise is set up, another Parcells won’t EVER be able to exist…offense is all they know and care about
It’s ironic Becaue ever since they scrapped the 3-4 concept they dont know how to draft dlinemen. They keep drafting these small linemen. These guys that be weighting between 260 and 280. That’s why we keep losing in the trenches. . Our dline is always small. The last last solid DT we drafted was Jason Hatcher.
Gregory was the last linemen they drafted that actually Had high potential. I rmemeber seeing that due in Oxnar his Rollie season. He was doing things that I’ve never seen a cowboys dlinemen do at his size. But for a guy like that you need a real leader in the locker from. As a coach and Garrett wasn’t that. Parcells could’ve molded that ally. With Parcells we would’ve knew right away of Gregory was going be here for long because he knows how to handle those guys and when to cut them loose.
One of the best thing from last weeks sound of the sidelines was said by Pickens that I loved. He said early in the game. You don’t have to be great at what you do to difference for this. You just have to do your job. Hearing that from a wr is mind blowing. While Ceedee may be the more talent wr I like Pickens approach to the game more. He doesn’t want to come Out the game.
