It happens. Gotta treat every interview like it's a first date, no matter how good it went accept that you might get ghosted.
Being that this was an internal position shyt could get awkward i guess, should have been interviewing at other companies in case you felt like you feel now you'd have option to bounce

I graduated from undergrad in 2007 right during the Financial Crisis and I struggled for years, was broke in grad school from 2010 to 2013, and still struggled for a while after that and then just when I finally get comfy? Global Pandemic

And along the way I had TONS of interviews with jobs I was overqualified for and they they all rejected me, every time

You'll get there, just be patient and keep applying

I know we laugh and shyt on each other on here and I try to keep my personal stuff off of here for the most part. But I have a really good job that I love and have been slowly moving up.

I went for a position I was certain I had. Interview was perfect but they just told me about an hour ago I didn't get the shyt.

I had know fukking idea I would feel this disappointed and worthless tbh.

I'm telling yall because we are a community and I'm ashamed to tell my friends and family.

I tried so fukking hard for that position

You tell your people about job interviews and offers AFTER you've accepted the positions.

As far as what happened, it's a tough break but you roll with the punches. Reading the thread title, I assumed you were interviewing for a position at a DIFFERENT workplace.

I felt like this a year ago when I applied for an engineering job in BFE South Carolina and didn't get it. Just had to get focused again after beating myself up for a few months and ended up with a better job closer to home. Keep ya head up and you'll get where you want to be.

Are you a good worker? If so thats ya first mistake. Hardworkers/good workers are hardly ever rewarded. They'll sell you bullshyt to keep you "happy" but when it's time for them to show you how much they appreciate you, you gonna be hella disappointed.
