There was a lot of that going on at that time. I forget if it was this site or FB but there was a post with all the songs we didn’t realize were the same exact beat. This one at least is a different tempo. Others it’s identical beat just a swapped out chorus and bridge. I remember it was a ton of Timbo shyt on there

I know 112, Montel Jordan and Immature all used that same beat for their songs, I think the beat was the 112 - Only You.

That’s not even a provocative take. All those Case songs are classics.

Joe’s voice is technically sound. Straight forward. Case had that off kilter, more street element ala R Kelly, KC, Aaron hall, Jaheim. Those types of singers stand out more imo, regardless of fame level and perception.

It is as Case does not have 4 songs better than any Joe song.

This is Joe's best song. When he had the fukked up hairline. This was one of my favorite songs that came on the radio when I was a kid.
