I always thought it was a NY thing. Growing up someone got killed they threw their sneakers on either power lines or light poles

Now I know it's different meanings in other places

The only time i actually saw this irl was when a dude got beat up and they tied his shoes together and tossed them up on the line just to be a$$holes :mjlol:
