I didn't know states send letters to mothers to file child support.

The government doesn't want to be covering the father's share of childcare costs.

Some men need the state to force them into responsibility and basic decency.
My question is how does this work when the dude can't find work.:jbhmm:

In most states, child support is only based on ongoing income. So if the father has no documented income, they can't collect child support.

This is why some men intentionally quit their jobs, and take under-the-table jobs or do work without much of a paper trail.

If the baby daddy has no income, she would just have to go ahead and have the state help her with the childcare costs/services.

I'm asking cuz I'm talking about me.

Baby mama hasn't put me on child support, doubt she ever will. But they taking away her benefits because I can't find a job. I gotta get by on this day labor but in the mean time that's still pretty fukked up. They cut her wic and stuff when I didn't have a job. Not to mention the state dept that I worked for didn't want to give me unemployment...

Fact is, we all pay more into the tax system than we get back from it. Most of the money you've poured into it throughout your life is being used to wage wars, and imprison ppl of color.

With that being said, from the state's perspective, your family is too dependent.

You have a dad who 1. isn't currently contributing to the economy, and can't contribute towards the financial needs of his children
and 2. a mother who is depending on the state for things the daddy is theoretically supposed to be providing.

I hope you find something soon.

Florida. #idkwtfisgoingon

My kids are straight though, but I thought that was messed up. I even worked for state government for 2 years I would think my kids are entitled to that assistance. They didn't give me that nor my unemployment.

She isn't though. She's got her own car, own crib, and she pays the bills with 2-3 jobs because she has to. She ain't relying on the state but she does need the assistance at the same time see where I'm coming from?

Anyway I start work next week so this all will not be an issue anymore unless she put me on cs then we gonna have a problem.

You're going to have a problem if she puts you on child support, but she's been working 3 jobs to take care of your kids while you've been contributing next to nothing???

LOLLLL and to think, I was actually feeling sympathy for you a moment ago.

It's back and forth. When I was working she and the kids was living in my house and I was paying most of the bills etc..But I'm not working now. How do you equate that to contributing next to nothing.

So you take care of the kids while she's working?

For the most part. I haven't really had to recently because I been out trying to find work but I love having them. shyt I just helped her today pay her rent with the money I had saved from my last job.

I'm taking them out of town tomorrow to see my grandparents.

What are you talking about not having income does not get you outta paying child support.
A lot of dudes do under the table jobs because they cant garnish that.
