people always complaining about older guys dating younger females but fail to realize that its allowed by law depending on age of consent in that state.

I don’t know where Aaliyah first met Timbo but if it was in VA, the age of consent is 18. But if it was Michigan (since Aaliyah was living in Detroit), it would be 16. If they met in NYC, the New York age of consent is 17.

Those are the ages of consent now but Idk if they were law back when those two first met (I think sometime around 1995).

I don’t think it would be a pedo situation since pedophiles deal with mofos being attracted to prepubescent children. I think for pubescent kids or “older” teens (basically 15 to 19), that would be more of an ephebophile in that particular situation.
